New York bakery Milk Bar recently opened its third Washington location at Logan Circle, and this one is their flagship store. What makes the nearly 2,400-square-foot Milk Bar Flagship different is its roomy café space, ability to host events and classes, and an innovation lab where you can try new experimental recipes. Visitors will still enjoy many of the offerings found at other locations, such as gourmet coffee, soft serve ice cream, and assorted baked goods, along with a broader selection of gourmet cakes available for carryout, a blueberry pie shake, and new toppings for soft serve like strawberry-flavored gummies.
Baking classes are held weekly at Milk Bar Flagship, and include a variety of topics. Coming up on September 29th, Birthday Cake & Truffles teaches the secrets of how they make their popular birthday cake and truffles, and you will leave with your very own 6’’ cake. Another favorite class is Chocolate Malt Cake & Truffles on October 6th, which will teach you how to make this decadent chocolatey cake with malted fudge, malted milk crumbs, and charred marshmallows.
