Register Now for SOME’s 20th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger 5K
What are you thankful for this year? For many, at the top of that list is health, family, and community! Celebrate all those things and more while running SOME’s 20th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger 5K on Thanksgiving Day. A DC tradition, the race will be coming back in person this year with the beloved festival, as well as be offered virtually for those who want to run on their own with a little bit extra distance.
Proceeds from the event—they’re hoping to raise $500,000 this year—go towards supporting SOME’s (So Others Might Eat) mission to help homeless and vulnerable community members close to home. Their cause is more important than ever after a difficult year for so many, so put together a team, lace up your kicks, and run for our community! Registration can be done online and is $50 per person for both the in-person or the virtual race. You’ll get a bib, t-shirt, and full access to the family festival fun that takes place after the race at Freedom Plaza!
